I'm fascinated with the idea of imagination-fueled alien worlds, and this UFO ashtray draws on some of the most classic saucer silhouettes omnipresent in the context of stereotypical alien worlds. The ruin-like materiality attempts to hint at the idea of a long lost and found object. With strategic slots to hold cigarettes, it can be opened and closed, sheltering the ashes from winds. A hole in the top half serves as an opening for smoke coming from cone shaped incents placed in the middle of the enclosure.
